Madoc, ON – The Heart of Hastings Hospice is proud to announce significant growth following their 2022 expansion from a 2-bed to a 3-bed hospice facility. This strategic enhancement has allowed them to nearly double the number of families they serve each year, reflecting their unwavering commitment to providing compassionate care and support to the community.
Accredited with Hospice Palliative Care Ontario, The Heart of Hastings Hospice adheres to the highest standards in hospice care. These standards ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality hospice palliative care services, promoting quality and consistency in operations, work, and philosophy. Participation in the Accreditation process demonstrates leadership and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Since the expansion, the hospice has not only increased its capacity for residential hospice care but has also introduced a suite of new, free services designed to meet the diverse needs of families. These services include:
Children’s Grief and Bereavement Support: Recognizing the unique challenges faced by young people during times of loss, the hospice now offers specialized programs to help children navigate their grief.
