How to make a Donation

Donations help support our volunteer palliative care and bereavement programs which are essential to the core of hospice care. There are a variety of ways to give a tax-deductible gift.

1. Donate Online

If you wish to make an annual  or single donation online via telephone, at a bank machine or bank branch contact our office at 613-473-5125.

4. In Celebration Of

Give a gift to Heart of Hastings Hospice in celebration of a loved one or to commemorate a special event or anniversary. For further information, please call our office or complete our online donation form. (.PDF)

5. Gifts In-kind

Heart of Hastings Hospice welcomes in-kind gifts. Items such as auction items, tickets to professional sporting events, concerts, art work, prizes, as well as some food and beverage items are all useful and are greatly appreciated. As a registered charity, we can issue tax receipts for the fair market value of some items. For such donations, please contact our office at 613-473-5125.

6. Give the Gift of Your Time

Unique to the service of hospice, volunteers play a special role in the care of our patients and families. Carefully selected and specially trained volunteers work alongside hospice professionals to provide support for terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice volunteers provide companionship, caregiver respite, light household or outdoor assistance and diverse activities. In addition to supportive care with families, volunteers are also involved in bereavement support, provide office assistance and help with special events and activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Heart of Hasting Hospice.

7. Leave a Legacy

Hospice provides end-of-life care to individuaos and their families.  We rely heavily on financial support from our community and donors like you. Please consider leaving a gift to The Heart of Hastings Hospice in your Will or Estate Plan.

  • Leaving a charitable gift in your will brings meaning, dignity and purpose to a life well lived, and shows you cared about your community and about the work of hospice
  • A gift can be a very practical addition to a financial plan when taxes are taken into consideration
  • Your gift will help provide support to future generations
